About Kimberley Dozier and her colleagues
I had a small say on the subject here. Y'all can write your own comments...

"So our friend Dr. David Steinbruner was actually involved in treating the courageous and smart CBS News correspondent Kimberley Dozier after her near-fatal injury in Iraq Monday."
I got to thinking today about the fact that those who choose to fight in this war (that the US started on a country that did not do a thing to us at all).... and those who work for the companies that profit from war (like CBS) are the ones who get the very best of medical care when the war hurts them.
Yet the Iraqi people, who did nothing wrong, who are not profitting from this war at all, who's lives are being ruined...... they get shitty medical care. That is, if they make it to the hospital.
This makes me nauseous. It is so wrong. And tonight I got this news story:
Pregnant Women Shot Dead by US Soldiers in Iraq
US soldiers have shot and killed a pregnant Iraqi woman and her cousin while they were driving to a maternity hospital north of Baghdad. Iraqi police said the two women were travelling to hospital in Samarra when their vehicle came under fire from the Americans. The US military issued a statement today saying the shots were fired "to disable the vehicle" after it entered a clearly marked prohibited zone near a US observation post. It said the car failed to stop despite repeated "visual and auditory signals" and the loss of life was "regrettable".

Too bad Dr. Steinbruner wasn't there to treat this pregnant women who was trying to get to the hospital. And, I am thinking tonight that it is too bad that Dr. Steinbruner WILL BE THERE to treat the pregnant women's killers, if need be.
It is making me so very sick. I feel like I could throw up on each and every American who supported this war in any fashion, and that would include Dr. Steinbruner.
....
I went to see Why We Fight tonight.
I can't seem to stop crying.
Susan/Dance-- Is that a movie? It sounds like a tough thing to see.
... But I don't you think you or I or anyone should assume anything at all about the attitude this military doc has towards the war... You know that lots of US military people who are in the war-zone are or become very opposed to the war project. And they are the ones whose lives are daily put on the line by the chickenhawks in DC.
Susan,
I would to thank you from my heart for your statement.
"You know that lots of US military people who are in the war-zone are or become very opposed to the war project."
And from that point on they become the most despicable of hypocrites - actively and willingly participating in a horrendous "project" they know is wrong.
I have even less respect for them than I do for the mindless idiots who think they are doing the right thing.
"But I don't you think you or I or anyone should assume anything at all about the attitude this military doc has towards the war"
If they are there, they are supporting the war, I think.
"You know that lots of US military people who are in the war-zone are or become very opposed to the war project."
They should show their opposition by not cooperating and staying home.
"And they are the ones whose lives are daily put on the line by the chickenhawks in DC."
They are not putting their lives on the line nearly as much as the Iraqi people.... who have no choice in this. Their risk level is significantly less. And the medical care, if they are hurt, is SIGNIFICANTLY better.
This is not right.
Why We Fight is a movie about the military-industrial complex in the USA and why Americans get into so many wars around the planet and bomb so many countries....
The film's only lack is they failed to mention the MEDIA as being a part of this military-industrial complex, and how it deceives Americans. Faiza's comments on that are quite accurate.
I cry because my country is doing great evil and my fellow citizens are allowing it.
We are losing our country, heart and soul.
"mention the MEDIA "
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A top U.S. commander in Iraq on Thursday ordered combat troops to be trained to abide by moral and ethical standards on the battlefield, an apparent reference to allegations Marines killed civilians last year.
It's all "allegations" for more than three yeras killing Iraqi its all "allegations" contiue read below
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. military inquiry into whether Marines tried to cover up the killings of Iraqi civilians in Haditha will conclude that some officers gave false reports to their superiors, who then failed to scrutinize the information, according to a newspaper report on Thursday.
"In El Salvador between 1984 and 1986, Colonel Steele commanded the U.S. Military Advisor Group, training Salvadoran forces that conducted a brutal campaign against the civilian population. At other stages in his career, he performed similar duties during U.S. military operations in Cambodia and Panama. After failing a polygraph test, he confessed to Iran-Contra investigators that he had also shipped weapons from El Salvador to Contra terrorists in Nicaragua, leading Senator Tom Harkin to block his promotion to Brigadier General. Until April 2005, Steele was the principal U.S. advisor to the Iraqi Interior Ministry’s “Special Police Commandos,” the group most frequently linked to torture and summary executions in recent reports.
Steven Casteel worked in Colombia with paramilitaries called Los Pepes that later joined forces to form the A.U.C. in 1997, and have been responsible for most of the violence against civilians in Colombia. Casteel is now credited with founding the Special Police Commandos in his capacity as senior advisor to the Iraqi Interior Ministry."
Colonel Steele & Steven Casteel these two guyes should be brought to justis and should punshid with death penlty.
These are working there in Iraq in the background there
say, do you have references on Casteel and STeele?
Are the Special Police Commandos the Wolf Brigade?

well, I just ran across this lovely piece by Danny Scheter:
Media Crimes Sanitize War Crimes in Iraq
‘The LA Times’ reported: “When producers of the "CBS Evening News" arrived in the newsroom Monday morning, there was an e-mail waiting from correspondent Kimberly Dozier.
“In a note written Sunday night, she detailed a Memorial Day story she planned to do about a U.S. soldier wounded in Iraq who insisted on going back to the battlefield, a piece about "fighting on in memory of those who have fallen."
What a tragic loss---TV journalists dying not in search of deeper truths but to send back another picture-rich but patriotically correct story along the same ‘good news’ lines as one filed for ‘60 Minutes’ by CBS’s now chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan. She glamorized the tactics of a brainy American colonel heroically stopping terrorists in the town of Tel Afar. A ‘Washington Post’ journalist, filing a report from the same town, debunked CBS’s storyline. He found no terrorists killed in what was a sectarian and internal political fight. Early Thursday morning, the CNN website carried a story by one of its Iraq reporters who realized after the fact that she knew about the marines at Haditha but did not report on them at the time. "It actually took me a while to put all the pieces together -- that I know these guys, the U.S. Marines at the heart of the alleged massacre of Iraqi civilians in Haditha,” admits reporter Arwa Damon. When I went back to quote her more extensively a half-hour later, the story was off the website and its URL did not work, but I found it anyway through CNN’s website archive. It’s a rare piece of media introspection. “I don't know why it didn't register with me until now. It was only after scrolling through the tapes that we shot in Haditha last fall, and I found footage of some of the officers that had been relieved of their command, that it hit me. “I know the Marines that were operating in western al Anbar, from Husayba all the way to Haditha. I went on countless operations in 2005 up and down the Euphrates River Valley. I was pinned on rooftops with them in Ubeydi for hours taking incoming fire, and I've seen them not fire a shot back because they did not have positive identification on a target. (Note: the anguish of the U.S. military still tends to get more airtime than the anguish of Iraqi civilians.)

Every word of it true, as far as I can tell.....
So, Helena, it looks like your friend, Dr. Steinbruner, was saving the CBS "news" correspondent so she could report some more pro-war propaganda for the US media.
yeap, they are putting their lives on the line alright - but for what exactly?
Too bad about the unborn child shot by US troops, no? Think we will ever see that on our TVs?
Think the US will ever get the Iraqi hospitals fully staffed and fully functional? A hospital in Basra had to cancel all surgeries for two weeks because they had no gaze, earlier this year.
I think Dr. Steinbruner should do something else with his life.
And Ms. Dozier too.
Like take up knitting.

"went on countless operations in 2005 up and down the Euphrates River Valley. I was pinned on rooftops with them in Ubeydi for hours taking incoming fire,"
Further more some Iraqis witnessed US chops trough dead bodies in Euphrates River, of course then CBS, CNN reported there were bodies of Iraqi killed found in Euphrates River….
" Iraqi hospitals fully staffed and fully functional? A hospital in Basra had to cancel all surgeries for two weeks because they had no gaze, earlier this year."
Don’t forget that most the hospitals in those towns and cites was damaged if not destroyed like the one in FALUGA "Saudi donated Hospital there" also most of the water treatments destroyed Why? Terrorist hide under the water…, as far I know a group of US Engineers destroyed water Dam in the area, why? God knows
Tell our friend Brian "Live form Baghdad" who argue about the power and water before, Now days the power reach the Iraqi houses ONE HOUR a day!!! Imagine what you can do with one hour a day, when Green Zones and all US camps living in air-conditioned building and tent if they using tent as I imagine…
Dr. Steinbruner fight for saving his folk and he is protected and supported with latest things, in the other picture the Iraqi doctors fighting on two fronts they care to save Iraqi casualties also they fighting for their personal life as we speaks there are more doctors either flee Iraq after receiving death threats (which of course not Iraqis did this) or some they running on own risk to save Iraqis those real HEROES THOSE IRAQI DOCTORS Not Like Your Folk Dr. Steinbruner Helena…
Iraq: The Women's Story

There is no need to send CBS reporters to Iraq to report to you through Fox, CBS, or CNN.
These realities listen to Iraqi and believe them otherwise you live in your own darkness, you believes in your administration lies, and you're with them against Iraqis.
I wonder why Americans believed in Ahammad Aljalabi, Ayad Alawi, Khidhir Hamza , all those gang and they block their ears to hear from the real Iraqis 20 millions of them they suffering each second from your invasion of their country? Tell us why?
